Android Auto Overview
Android Auto connects your Android phone to your in-car display, creating a familiar interface with your favorite Android Apps. With Android Auto, you can more safely and easily get driving directions, talk to send a text, make hands-free calls, listen to your favorite music, and more.
Android Auto Features
Google Assistant
With Google Assistant, you can make voice commands to find routes, listen to music, and even check the weather. Using your voice commands with Google Assistant helps you keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel. Simply "Hey Google." or (if available) press the mic button on your steering wheel to activate Google Assistant in your Android Auto-compatible vehicle.
Navigation
Get turn-by-turn directions and real-time traffic notifications with Google Maps and Waze. Google Assistant can also help you get directions to nearby gas stations or EV chargers. Directions appear on your vehicle's in-car display in a familiar Google Maps interface.
Communicate
Google Assistant can read your messages out loud, and you can even respond by talking. Making calls and using your favorite messaging app with your voice is another way Android Auto makes driving less distracting.
Entertain
Access your favorite music, podcasts, and audiobooks through apps like Spotify and Google Play Books. You can pause or play it all with your voice, thanks to Google Assistant.
