With the available factory-installed trailer hitch, the 2023 BMW X5 (sDrive40i, xDrive40i, m50i) can tow up to 7,200 pounds. The X5 xDrive45e plug-in hybrid has a maxium towing capacity of 5,952 pounds with the trailer hitch installed. The X5 M does not offer a trailer hitch.
